CHAPTER 3

Life is beautifully monotonous since that day. Having a crush helps you with a lot of things. Your face gets a smile, and your eyes get a filter, a filter that makes you see your life in la vie en rose. In short, everything is beautiful.

It's been almost a month now. My exams are over, and it's my birthday tomorrow. It's 8 PM, and Kinchit Sir has promised me in the morning that he would take me to the terrace after the sunset. Kinchit Sir is the owner of my library and is like a teacher to me. I received a text on my telegram, "Shall we?" And I left my seat. The view is damn beautiful from here, stars above and the entire world beneath you.

"I am leaving Indore tomorrow." I broke the silence.

"Without telling him?" He replied.

"I think I am not courageous enough," I replied.

"You'll regret it as much as I do." He ached in his pain.

"I guess that's what destiny is." We were quiet now.

"I think you should tell him. I will give you his number tomorrow, and you are telling him how much you love him. This will be a gift from my side." This was more of an order than a piece of advice. Where my ears stopped working was the word LOVE. Is this love?

"Can I get some time alone?" I asked.

"Sure!" He left within some seconds after that.

It's been 5 minutes since Kinchit Sir has left. 'Ting' a notification popped up on my screen. The message was from Kinchit Sir, I guess all of us know what it was about. I took a deep breath and checked the time. It was 8:30 PM, I needed to reach Shivangi Didi's place by 9 PM. I left the terrace in 5 minutes. I took my bag, swung it on my back and left for his seat like the day I did for the first time I saw him. Unlike that day today, I sat on the chair. I wanted to give him a farewell. I opened the letter I once wrote for him. I kept the pages on the desk and left the library.

It's been a year since that night, and it is my birthday tomorrow. It's 6 PM, and I am walking on the terrace waiting for the sun to set, thinking about the memories this year gave to me. Sometimes we really underestimate what God has planned for us. 'Ting' my phone rang.

'You received a new message from Nitin'

"How's my girl doing before her D-Day?" I clicked on the display picture of Nitin. There was a boy with slightly fair skin, very dense curly hairs, plumped face and an average stature. The eyes are of light brown colour, large, attractive, fixed or slow, and almost hypnotic. The lips are pink and voluptuous, with a smile that can bring heaven to the entire world. Yes, he is the same deep-frustrated voice guy.
